What changed in Update 17?
Hotbar and More changes controls, combat, recovery, potion discovery and progression. Start with the systems that affect your next session.
Hotbar & switching
New PC hotkeys, favorites wheel and weapon/spell toggle.
Combat rebalance
More accurate enemies and updated weapon handling.
Rest encounters
Heal away from enemies; hostile areas can interrupt rest.
Nine new summons
New world spells and a rebalance of existing summons.
Six alchemy effects
New effects and a stricter unknown-effect boundary.
Four potion qualities
Restorative potions now apply over time.
Evidence chests
Confiscated items: named chests and an offsite guard exception.
85% armor DR cap
A confirmed cap, not an invented rating formula.
HP & attribute progression
No automatic HP simply for leveling up.
World & multiplayer fixes
Fungal-area dungeons, underwater scenery and targeted fixes.
